海外華人的離散與認同/Chinese Diaspora Identities
This course invites nine international scholars to share their research on the identity and identity construction of the Chinese diaspora. The historical background of overseas Chinese around the world affects their identity in their respective region. Examples include, whether they retain their language and traditions or try to integrate into their ancestral society. Whether their cultural products are in Chinese or local languages. The Chinese diaspora presented in this course are located in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, North America, and Latin America.
The language of the course is English and Mandarin, depending on the wishes of the lecturers.
